“Open Up the Curtains - Broadway for Kids”
January at Sonnets
“Broadway for Kids” offered a magical introduction to the world of theater, where familiar stories came alive through vibrant performances and captivating songs. This past month we had the chance to experience colorful musicals and enchanting plays that sparked imagination and creativity. With themes that resonated with children, such as friendship, adventure, and dreams, like Aladdin, Wizard of Oz/Wicked, & The Lion King, teachers encouraged kids to explore their emotions and develop a love for storytelling.
“Our Class is a Family”
December at Sonnets
In our classrooms, we create a strong sense of family where every child feels valued and supported. This December we shared experiences that fostered connections among peers and their families.
Parents joined us for holiday events and spent time in our classrooms reading books about family traditions during the holiday season. We learned from one another, understanding that each unique personality contributes to the vibrant tapestry of our classroom community. Together, we grow, laugh, and learn, building lasting bonds that extend beyond the classroom walls.
“We All Go Traveling By”
November at Sonnets
Learning about traveling opens up a world of possibilities for young minds. This November, we introduced children to different cultures, languages, and traditions enriching their understanding of the world.
Through stories, maps, and activities we explored various destinations where we imagined the sights, sounds, and tastes of far-off places. This exploration not only ignited a sense of adventure but helped us build valuable skills such as communication, problem-solving, and adaptability.
