Creating a strong home/school connection is so important for reinforcing what our students learn into the rest of their lives. We'll be hosting an ice cream social for our Hyde Park families to interact with their teachers and have fun! Children find comfort and confidence in knowing that their teachers and parents are a team!
Sonnets Academy gives our students all of the tools they need to find inspiration, make a mess, figure things out, and create! With paper mâché, French for "chewed paper", students learn how its possible to make so many different things with such simple supplies (either strips of paper or paper pulp combined with glue) and the right technique. The same tools can provide a great sensory experience for younger age groups, while providing a collective group activity for older age groups.

Our Spanish Program Director teaches Spanish Class through songs and arts once per week in each classroom. What better way to enjoy the warm weather and our school's outdoor space than to bring our Spanish Class outside to the play lot?
Sonnets Academy students are learning all about Independence Day before the weekend so they can celebrate the holiday on Monday and know what it's all about, what each star and stripe on our flag represents, and what the three colors symbolize.
